He decides to join them and strip himself of his old kittypet lifestyle to become a Clan cat. He joins ThunderClan and works hard from there to become a warrior, the greatest the Clan has ever seen. Many dangers confront Rusty, now Firepaw. Traitors, deaths, secrets, rogues, and even friendships.
